Routine Tuesday: Summer Morning



Hello! Today, I thought it would be fun if I shared with you my summer morning routine. After many summers of sleeping in late and having a lack of motivation, I finally came up with a routine that helps me be productive.
I start off the day by waking up around 7:00. I found that getting out of bed earlier is the best way to start a productive day. Earlier this summer, I was sleeping in closer to noon. Now that summer break is almost over, I am more motivated to utilize every second of the day because I want to enjoy every last bit of this limited free time.


As soon as I get out of bed, I sit down at my desk to write a to do list. This allows me to get an idea of what I want or need to accomplish in order to have a productive day.

Once I know my plan for the day, I grab my iPad and head downstairs to make my breakfast. On this particular morning,  I had an over-easy egg on toast topped with cream cheese and my favorite pesto. I enjoyed my breakfast outside as I enjoyed the beauty of the glorious, bright summer day.




Then I start preparing for the day by showering, getting dressed, doing my makeup... You know the drill ;). 

Once I am all dressed and ready, I start completing the tasks from my to do list. On this particular day, one of my tasks was to work on my blog.

After my tasks are complete, I am ready to enjoy the rest of my wonderful summer day with my friends and family!... or Netflix ;)

l hope this post inspired you to be grateful for this "summer break" and to live each summer day to the fullest!

  1. Ahh! It looks like you have the ideal routine set. My summer break just finished, but I need to have your motivation to get up early on weekends! It really makes a day so much more productive.

    I generally write down my to-do list on the night before but it helps a lot!

  8. We have a very similar day. I also wake up early to try to make the most of the day. It's summer, so we've got to suck up all the sun we can!

  9. I really need your planner haha :) I have in my mental to-do list to buy an agenda just so I get myself organized, but I keep forgetting it haha. I also try to wake up early to do things and enjoy the day, but at the end of the day I'm super tired. Doesn't it happen to you too? So I end up going to bed early :P Nice blog, by the way!
